The former Lady Coates Memorial Church, a fine red sandstone building, built in 1877 by Sir Peter Coates, of the nearby Auchendrane Estate, in memory of his late wife Glorianna. It retains many of the original architectural features including a remarkable stained glass rose window.
This has in turn been a private dwelling, a 'British' restaurant and is now a Tandoori restaurant.
At least it hasn't been knocked down.

Went on the day it opened. Food was superb, service was abysmal.
We'll give it another go on the strength of the food.
Interesting and unusual choice for an old church.
Mind you I noticed on a journey from Rhyl to Flint in North Wales, several old chapels had been turned into tandoori restaurants.
The Primitive Methodist Church in Ackworth where I attended Sunday School is now a car showroom.
i've seen old churches used for a number of things...but it's my first tandoori church...good use of it!
