Arran

Today's pictures are taken from Balnagore over the Kilbrannan Sound to the Mull of Kintyre.

The first photo was taken about mid-day

The second, looking slightly further North, was taken about 9 hours later.

If you look carefully in this photograph, you will see one of the wind-farms which are dotted about on the Mull. I personally don't mind them and it is a good way to generate electricity for local consumption.

Absolutely stunning. AND, as the whole world knows, the Scottish are thrifty, eh? Well, *I* personally think the Scottish are VERY wise! I love wind generators. LOVE them! People in our little township have enough money to veto the idea of them sitting on "our" hills. Do not tempt me to tell you what I think we should do with that lot of people. Cell towers, telephone poles and lines, and signs apparently "enhance" the scenery. STUPID people. I do not want to be at the mercy of other unsavory nations for our energy needs. Hello? The US is slow to respond to our needs because so many of those in "high places" have money invested in oil. My husband just saw your pictures and loved them, too. He said all factories should be retrofitted to produce wind generators! As you can see, we really have some strong convictions here.

a very atmospheric pic, who would have thought wind farms could be so atmospheric?!
