Apart from the excellent quality of the food (sit-in or takeaway), the location looking out over Ayr Bay towards Arran (some superb sunsets) and an owner who recognises me even though I only go there once or twice a year, I also like his sign.
Always gives me a gentle smile!

Aha - this is also a firm favourite of Shaun (he of milnemedia.typepad.com), who lives nearby and walks his dog by here pretty much daily. I love the sign too!
Someone is VERY clever!!! What a catchy name. I knew you are in Ayrshire...but never considered Ayr. The woman I bought my little Murphy from uses the name Ayr in her kennel name. I looked it up on Google when I bought him and found out it is a region of Scotland! Yes, I know...how clever of me....
