Italy - Puglia - Agriturismo MontePaolo

I'm back! I've had an excellent time in the heel of Italy eating and drinking far too much, but life is for living.....

To make up for the missing days, I'll post multiple photos each day to show you where I've been. I'll try and include references to sites where you can find the background/history to go with the location.

The first photo is of the outside of Agriturismo MontePaolo where we stayed over the first 5 days. It's about 30 minutes drive from Bari Airport.

I have absolutely nothing but praise for the accommodation and staff. It and they could not have been any better. Sunday lunch (after 3 hours I just couldn't eat anything else) should be taken if at all possible - the food is unbelievably good and the mozzerella is freshly made in front of you.

The next photo is of the inside of our bedroom. Spacious and cool.

One possible problem for some might be the stairway you need to climb from the entrance and eating area to the main reception and bedrooms. The flowers are superb.
This is the view from the top of the staircase at night.
To the right of the courtyard in the above photo are the enclosed dining/breakfast areas.

I've no hesitation in recommending this place - should not be missed if you are down that way.

Well, now, I have never had a great longing to visit Italy before....but, perhaps you are making me rethink that! My FIL loved Italy...he was 100% Italian, and was thrilled to join the Army in the Korean War era. He wound up stationed in Germany, and was so happy to visit the Italy his parents had spoken about! Your pictures are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing, and like Sorlil, looking forward to more!
Oh, and welcome home!
