River Doon

Whilst I was taking the photos of the village of Dalrymple, I also took these photographs of the river Doon from the bridge at the edge of the village.

What a beautiful stream! In looking at the two pictures, I was trying to decide which way *I* would follow...
Upstream is certainly enticing with the large tree leaning over the stream with its branches as though offering shelter from the sun for wayfarers following the little path to the left.
Downstream looks as though it winds and wanders...the water glistens as though inviting one to follow along with it. The field looks as though it was mowed not too long ago, offering a restful spot to sit and read a book!
Such a stream, near here, would certainly yield some trout!

Salmon I think, rather than trout, but I'm not a fisherman.....
