The first is an evening shot from the main town over the river.

The second is a night shot within the main square.

The third is from the river over the 'Mainhatten' skyline which is made up of the offices of Financial Institutions.

Since I didn't see any photographic record for Ayrshire, I thought I'd put one up.
It's "+" because I'll add any photo I've taken when the mood takes me.

Hmmm...in looking over that "Mainhatten" skyline, I do see a bit of a similarity to the NYC "Manhatten" skyline!! Water and skyscrapers!
One of the most interesting features I love in the pictures is the contrast between "old" and "new" architecture. I guess living in a relatively "new" world, we don't often see such striking contrasts...
The skyscrapers are mainly financial institutions.
Many of the "old" buildings are actually relatively modern reconstructions done post-WW2.
