Since I didn't see any photographic record for Ayrshire, I thought I'd put one up.

Another beautiful photograph that takes me back to my youth. I used to go up the loch when i was younger. I went canoeing with a youth club. We stayed at the local youth hostel which i think is now called Craigmulloch Lodge,it was quaint but we made the best of it big fires and big breakfast were the orders of the day. I moved close to there a few years later to the vilage of Dalmellington and frequented the Doon as much as i could. Cant wait till i get over home again and see it all again for real.

The sky there looks a lot like it did here this morning, although our sky had more of a "threatening" appearance...
That is a beautiful photo. I must get out into the Ayr countryside soon.
