Lovely, I presume your reference is to Gray's elegy and not Shakespeare's sonnet, had to google it to find that out. Haven't read Gray for years, thanks for the pointer.
Astonishing, and the verse to which you refer (thank you Sorlil!!) is very beautiful as well!
A "Christmas Rose"...how wonderful is that?
Sorlil, yes it was the elegy I was thinking of. One of the poems to be learnt by heart when at school .... and I can still remember parts of it.
